WHY ARE KIDS OBESE? IS BURGER A JUNK FOOD?
You have got to try this Veggie Burger recipe! This veggie burger is easy to make and chicken eater will not miss the texture and flavour. The inspiration came from the thought, why does the vegetables go through the process of boil, bruise, over cook, mash and lose all its nutrients before it turns to be a burger. So here is the whole vegetable made to an easy burger.
My son hates most of the veggies and Brinjal or Aubergine is on top of the list. I disguised Brinjal burger to be a chicken burger and my son never found it. He relished it all.

Ingredients for Burger:
- 1 no. Brinjal
- 1 no. Egg
- 1 cup Corn Flakes, crushed
- 1 cup Corn flour
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Meat Masala
- Oil for shallow frying
- Salt as required
Ingredients for Plating:
- Burger Buns
- Cheese Slices
- Lettuce leaves
- Butter
- Mayonnaise
Procedure for Burger:
Slice the brinjal into thick pieces. Make a paste with chilly, turmeric, cumin powder and salt. Marinate the brinjal slices with the paste and leave it aside for some time, 10 to 20 minutes.
Bowl 1 - Season the corn flour with salt and meat masala.Bowl 2 - Beat the egg with salt and make it fluffy. Bowl 3 - Crush the corn flakes with hand.
Take a slice of marinated brinjal, dip it in bowl 1, then dip in blow 2 and then finally dip in bowl 3. Give it a press in bowl 3, so that the cornflakes stick to it. Finish with the dipping and pressing of all the slices. You can refrigerate as well for upto 2 days.
Heat oil in a pan to shallow fry. On a flame fry the burgers.

Toast the buns with butter, apply mayonnaise on both the sides of the bun. Take half of the bun; place lettuce leaf, burger, cheese slice, again lettuce leaf and then the remaining side of the bun.
Rocket leaves or popularly known as Arugula. These leaves are of Mediterranean origin. Younger rocket leaves appear identical to that of spinach and are less peppery and sweet in contrast to sharp, spicy flavor of mature greens
Ingredients:
- Apples
- Black Grapes
- Rocket leaves
- 1/2 cup walnut
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Olive oil as required
- Rock salt as required
Procedure:
Cube the apples, half the grapes, chop the leaves. Chop the walnuts in medium size. Whisk together onion, garlic powder and olive oil. Check for salt because onion and garlic powder has salt in it. Now add in chopped walnuts and whisk it. Finally add in the fruits and leaves and give a good mix. Healthy Savoury Fruit Salad is ready to dig in. This salad brings in a totally new pungent flavour of rockets leaves.
