Here are some delicious beverages recipe ideas to get you started.

So let’s head to the recipe. It takes less than 5 minutes. This recipe is for 2 glasses of Date Shake, double up the quantity for 4 glasses and so on.

Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 Dates
  • 1 glass of Soy or Almond milk for soaking dates
  • 2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 5 tbsp Soy or Almond milk for soaking chia seeds
  • 1 - 2 Bananas
  • 3 tbsp Almonds, chopped
  • 1 glass of Soy or Almond milk
Garnish : Chopped Almonds

Procedure:

In a big bowl, take 1 glass of milk, soak in the Dates. In another small bowl, add in milk and soak the chia seeds. Since I am soaking overnight, I prefer to keep them in a cool place or in the refrigerator.

Next morning the dates have absorbed some milk and plumped up while the chia seeds have bloomed well and looked gorgeous.

Tip: Now if you forgot to overnight soak the dates and chia seed, no worries. In the morning soak them in little hot water or hot milk for 20 minutes and keep them covered.

Transfer the Dates into a blender. Into this add 1 or 2 Bananas, as you wish, add almonds.  Blend them until a smooth paste.

Into the paste add another glass of chilled milk. For a change you may try using fresh Coconut milk instead of soy or almond. Once again blend them all.

Tadaa…. the shake is ready and it just took a few minutes.

How to serve: mince some almonds and place on a flat plate.

Take a tall serving glass. Rub some milk over the rim and rub the rim over the minced almonds, allowing the almonds to stick on. Into the glass, pour the shake, add some chopped Almonds and 1 tablespoon of soaked chia seeds for each glass and here I am as promised… 5 minutes and an energizing milkshake is ready.

Notes:

1.     Remove the seeds of dates.

2.     Store overnight in the fridge.

3.    Enhance the flavor by adding a dash of cinnamon powder, while blending.
